Daily Meme ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

- Name and email address when you sign in with Apple or Google
- Country selection if you choose to set it in Settings
Information collected automatically
- Trivia answers and quiz results
- Memes you save or like
- Your daily streak activity
- Push notification token (if you enable notifications)
- Notification time preference
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the app, including your personalized meme feed, saved collection, and trivia history
- Display your rank on the leaderboard (using your display name and country flag)
- Send daily meme notifications at your chosen time (only if you enable this)
- Calculate and maintain your streak and trivia points
- Serve and measure advertising to support the free operation of the app
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
Supabase — We use Supabase to store your account data and app activity. Supabase processes data on our behalf under their own privacy policy.
Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In — When you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information (name and email) from those providers. Their respective privacy policies govern what data they collect during the sign-in process.
Expo / Push Notifications — We use Expo's push notification infrastructure to deliver daily reminders. Your push token is stored and only used to send notifications you have opted into.
Advertising
Daily Meme displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads that are relevant to you based on your interests and activity across other apps and websites.
On iOS, we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before allowing personalized advertising. If you decline, you will still see ads but they will not be personalized.
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you will be asked to provide consent before personalized ads are shown. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by contacting us.

Account Deletion & Data Removal
We offer two ways to delete your account and all associated data (including quiz history, saved memes, likes, and streaks):
In-App Deletion
Go to Settings → Delete account. This will immediately and permanently remove your data from our servers.
Email Request
If you no longer have the app installed, email us at joshua9park@gmail.com. Your request must come from the email address associated with your Apple or Google account used for Daily Meme.
Once processed, all account data is permanently purged and cannot be recovered.
Children's Privacy
Daily Meme is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data (you can edit your display name directly in Settings)
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time via the methods described above
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
